Raj Thackeray to visit Jamnagar

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray will be visiting Jamnagar as apart of his week long Gujarat tour starting from August 3.

Raj Thackeray will visit many development projects in Gujarat and will also visit Reliance refinery and desalination plant in Jamnagar.

Raj Thackeray, though very much against north Indians in Mumbai, has maintained a balance for Gujarati in Mumbai, considering significant presence of Gujarati in Mumbai vote bank.

Bomb alert in GSFC Sikka Unit

Monday night a call to Jamnagar police control room about a suspected bomb in a train wagon alerted the police, Police cordoned the area but could not find anything, the suspected bag contained some wastage clothes and no bomb was found.

Grain merchant strike enters third day

Jamnagar`s grain merchants strike against new traffic rules that restricts entry of trucks into the city entered third day yesterday,

Heavy vehicles of transport are prohibited in the city from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm and 4.00 to 10.00 pm. 

Grain merchants and wholesale agents said that the two-hour break is insufficient as it coincides with the lunch break of the porters who load and unload them. 

Around 50-75 trucks are loaded/unloaded in Jamnagar`s grain market, the current strike is causing moot of problems to citizens.
