Bribe - Sales Tax Officer Caught

In Jamnagar, a sales tax official was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB)

A sales tax official was caught red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 15,000 today.

B P Parmar was a Class I officer (Sales Tax Assistant Commissioner) in Jamnagar

Jamnagar police received complaints against Parmar.
ACB sources claimed that they laid a trap based on a complaint to nab Parmar who had sought money to return official favor.

Parmar was immediately taken into custody.

Royal family narrowly escapes hacker.

A hacker recently posed as a journalist almost succeeded in duping Royal Jamnagar Family.

This hacker hacked email account of a Jamnagar royal and asked for 2500 USD.

As per the email. The victim was suggested to pass 2500 USD to a jabalpur branch manager of ICICI branch.

The bank manager is under arrest.

2 JMC Officers caught in fair for accepting bribe

2 JMC officers of estate dept. we're caught last night accepting bribe of rs. 25000 in Shravan fairs at pradarshan ground.

In this shocking story, it was reveled that these men namely Sunil Bhanushali and Rajbha Jadeja were asking one ice cream stall owner for 25000. Ice cream stall owner had reportedly consumed more space then allotted to him.

Arrest was done by rajkot Anti corruption bureau.


Now Jamnagar citizens know why they have to pay rs. 40 for each ride in Shravan fair.

Recent police combing and few alert citizens action resulted in capturing more then 29 gamblers across the district.

Most of the convicts are either small timers, considering the scale of Gambling in Shravan police will need to do more to capture big and organized gamblers.

UFO over Reliance Refinery



Multiple sitings of mysterious illuminated object is reported over Reliance Refinery Jamnagar.

This UFO appeared in the dark sky, eye witness reports talks about the UFO circling over the complex and  later disappearing in a flash,

Most recent siting, 3 days back was after dawn. Cameras at the Reliance refinery managed to take a few pictures of the object. Those who have seen this footage claims that the object was bright and spherical.

RIL has already reported the sightings to the government, along with the pictures.

Many experts believe these are drones supplied by China and used by Pakistan to survey the most important industrial installation in India. following to this, The Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard are on alert.

Recently an IB report claimed a confirmation from LeT loyalist that Reliance Refinery Jamnagar was one of their targets.

RIL ED Prasad already wrote to Petroleum Minister M Veerappa Moily about the sightings. This letter mentions a volleyball sized spherical UFO hovering over refinery.

Lalpur - Murder in Court


A 30-year-old man was stabbed to death in court compound at Lalpur.

THe victim  was accused of killing a youth a year ago, the father of the youth stabbed the victim to death.

The victim, Sultan Osman Sama's was on trial for killing Yusuf Sama's son Hanif.

Yusuf did not tried to escape the scene, the killing took place in broad daylight in presence of lawyers and policemen.

Police told that he wanted to take revenge for his son's murder and he regretted that he could not stab him more.

In a collobarative raid organised by Jamnagar civil supply department, Over stocked groundnut oil worth more then 1 lakh was seized near bedeshwar.

In a similiar raid in Khambhaliya, one more shop was raided and ground nut oil worth half a lakh was seized.

Special Women Cell At INS Valsura - HC Verdict

In a verdict for Navy, Gujarat high court has directed the office of the Indian navy, INS Valasrua, at Jamnagar to create a special cell to listen to women Naval staff's grievances.


This came in wake of a complaint of a woman clerk who had alleged that she was sexually harassed by a male colleague at the office. High court stated that the new cell will be useful to prevent sexual harassment of women at the workplace.

The RBI has imposed a monetary penalty of Rupees 2 Lakh on the "Commercial Co-operative Bank Ltd" for violating KYC norms, bank was found to be not following the rules in its stationery and advertisements, bank also violated norms for making extra, and probably suspicious donation beyond prescribed limit, bank had already submitted reply for the show cause notice issued by RBI.

Four year old girl killed by father, Two drowned, Crematorium website launch.

A man brutally murdered his four-year-old daughter in Aliya village. This girl was living with his father and grand-mother, after her mother got divorced and re-married.

Last Saturday, two teenage boys were drowned in Ranjeet Sagar dam, Fire-brigade could fished out the bodies by Sunday evening. Two boys age 14 & 17 went to tuition class and when they did not return on time, family members started searching them in the evening. Later they came to know that the boys had gone to Ranjeetsagar dam for swimming. The Jamnagar Fire Brigade found the clothes of the boys near the dam.

The 112-year-old Jamnagar crematorium now has a website. Gujarat minister & Prof Vasuben Trivedi launched the public website, around Rs 4 crore have been spent on the crematorium's renovation, the spokesman said that the website will be useful to public and tourists as well, he added that organisers are working on live streaming aspect of website that could allow relatives to attend the funeral from internet.

Bank Manager caught batting, Bangladeshi nabbed in Mithapur

A bank manager of Lalpur co-operative bank was caught along with few others while gambling on cricket in Lalpur, also cash of around 50 thousand, a TV set and mobile phones were taken in custody from them.

In another crime news, a Bangladeshi was caught in Mithapur, raising more questions of national safety near the sea-shore areas, it is to note that one Bangladeshi national was caught a month earlier from Reliance refinery, many Bangladeshi nationals are working in industries around Jamnagar without proper documents and this could be an issue with national security.

Pirated DVD, Vegetable prices etc.

Police in Jamnagar suddenly wake up to discover huge stash of pirated DVD sold at every corner in the city, in past 2 days Jamnagar police recovered pirated copies of copyright material amounting to around a million rupee, police arrested 14 person and raised 14 places in city, most noticeable places includes Lakhota lake, Jayshree cinema, S.T. Road etc.

Last Saturday, vegetable shop owners around the main vegetable market stopped business at the subhash market, causing sharp increase in the vegetable prices. In this tussle of JMC and vegetable businessmen, citizens are paying price (actually high price), earlier last month JMC suggested to move the vegetable market to Hapa marketing yard. Vegetable shop owners are arguing that cost to transportation vegetables to the city from Hapa is unreasonable.

A new NREGA Scandal has emerged in Moti Gop village of Jam Jodhpur talkua,

Few villagers have complained of forging the false job cards, there were complaints of work being done by contract labours, as they are cheaper as compared to the cash offered by NREGA.

There were other villages complaining issues of same nature, FIR is under investigation.

Ranjistsagar - huge Fishing net caught

Following a complaint by Shri Shatrushalya singhji, Jamnagar Municipal Corporation and police caught a huge fishing net from Ranjit Sagar Dam.
Forest department also helped with a speed boat to catch the net. the net was of more then 500 mtrs. This kind of illegal fishing net kills many animals and aquatic animals in the dam.
