9 DAM Overflow

 Last few days of sparse rains bought new water in Jamnagar Dams, however the Ranjit Sagar dam that provide drinking water to City has almost no water.


હાલાર પંથકના અત્યાર સુધીમાં નવ ડેમો ઓવરફ્લો થઈ ગયા છે,
શહેરને પાણી પુરૃ પાડતા રણજીતસાગર ડેમમાં પાણીની આવક થઈ નથી.

Jamnagar : New Home for Amul

Jamnagar the jewel of Kathiawar, is a well known industry location across the world.

And soon Jamnagar will start contributing biggest Indian brand for India, Amul.

Yes, after consolidating the district milk union of Porbandar, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) is all set to get Jamnagar under her wings.

In near future, Jamnagar milk union will be under its Amul brand.

Jamnagar's milk union was last for Amul, after this all the district dairy unions of Gujarat will be under the apex body of the GCMMF, covering all the regions of Gujarat.

Jamnagar district will become 19th member union of milk union.

Six dairy unions of Saurashtra and Kutch collectively procuring an average of 17 lakh litres milk per day.

Jamnagar is contributing 2 lakh litres milk per day in Jamnagar.

Saurashtra will register 15 to 20% of volume increment in next 10 years.

LCA Tejas Trials - pride of Jamnagar

As a part of Indian air forces plan to roll out new age fighters for India defence, Jamnagar airforce base will be leading the trials, these trials will ensure getting initial operational clearance (IOC-II) by the end of this year.


  LCA (Light combat aircraft) Tejas was deployed last month to Jamnagar Air Force Station for weapons trials.

 These weapon trials includes advance missile firing and bomb diffusal.
 First round of trials are completed now next, more aggressive rounds of weapons release trials will be conducted both at Jamnagar and Goa.

 LCA Tejas is very much in focus as defence minister is closely monitoring its commissionning progress.

First squadron service will be delivered in 2015.

Jamnagar trials were first after Tejas participited in Iron Fist excercise this year.


Indeed a proud moment for Jamnagar and Jamnagar air force base.

Dhararnagar demolition of 985 houses

Rajiv Gandhi awaas yojna was the talk of the town recently. since the time JMC announced that under Rajiv Gandhi Yojna around 1000 houses will be built and distributed to needy in slum areas.

Many gathered at JMC indicated that off the 985 houses. most of them are not huts but brick and cement house few with additional rooms.

MP and MLA were also present and all the gatherers were assured that houses under Rajiv Gandhi Yojna will have 2 room kitchen etc.

2 JMC Officers caught in fair for accepting bribe

2 JMC officers of estate dept. we're caught last night accepting bribe of rs. 25000 in Shravan fairs at pradarshan ground.

In this shocking story, it was reveled that these men namely Sunil Bhanushali and Rajbha Jadeja were asking one ice cream stall owner for 25000. Ice cream stall owner had reportedly consumed more space then allotted to him.

Arrest was done by rajkot Anti corruption bureau.


Now Jamnagar citizens know why they have to pay rs. 40 for each ride in Shravan fair.

Shravan fairs at Pradarshan Ground

Jamnagar city administration has no shortage of controversies, latest is in....

Pradarshan Ground fairs for Shravan are already started, many consider this as an inside job to attract Eid visitors also.

This year the stall auction has earned record 1.12 Crore of income for JMC.

JMC has let the fair start without formal inauguration or announcement.

Jamnagar city bus service stopped


Jamnagar city bus service is stopped since 5 days now.

Since 1995 Jamnagar Munipal Corporation has handed over the management of bus service to ex. Service men's association.

This arrangement was working till last few months, due to internal conflicts this association approached Gandhinagar and updated transport secretory of closing this service.

JMC is trying to sort this mess, till then rikshaw is the only public transport option available in Jamnagar.

Vasuben Trivedi's new trouble

A normal meet and greet at a Rajgor Brahmin mass marriage in Jamnagar became latest pain point for Vasuben, BJP candidate for Gujarat Assembly Elections.

It is said that in her speech she asked for vote, denying this Vasuben maintained that the term "vote" was not used.

City congress leaders finally found something to hang on, this was reported to election commission and enquiries are being made.

BJP - Two Senior Councillor left BJP



Finally caste politics is showing colors in Jamnagar, in a major set back to BJP candidate and minister of Jamnagar (South) seat Vasuben Trivedi, former deputy mayor Suresh Alariya has quit the party and jas joined Congress candidate Jitu Lal.

He cited lack of space for common men in BJP.

Alariya, represents Kutchi Bhanushali community, was dissatisfied with functioning of Trivedi which led to his decision to campaign for the Congress candidate without joining the party, Kutchi Bhanushali is a strong community in Jamnagar.

Earlier BJP party Councillor Tulshi Sabhaya had left to join GPP (Keshubhai) and file his nomination against Trivedi. A Leuva Patel, Sabhaya has also won the local polls for four consecutive terms.

Alariya is also a sitting Councillor who has won last 4 polls consecutively.

RIL Hoping for a Semi-Conductor Unit

Reliance Industries is opening a new business dimension in Jamnagar.

After the World famous Reliance Petroleum Limiteds Jamnagar Refinery, Reliance is all set for Semi-Conductor technology unit.

The proposed unit will cost around Rs. 11,600 Crore. Gujarat Govt. has asked tenders for this area, other interested companies are Videocon, MozerBear, Titan Energies, KSK energies, and Signet solar.

Catholic Syrian Bank Starting Jamnagar Branch

Kerala based Catholic Syrian Bank (CSB) is looking at closing this financial year with a business of Rs 9,000 crore.
 
Catholic Syrian Bank (CSB) is on a expansion spree, it has plans to open 50 branches over the next two years.
By April, A branch will come up at Jamnagar as well.

Note that Jamnagar is only non-south Indian district where the bank will be opening its branch as a part of the expansion project.

RPL Refinery to start in September

Reliance Petroleum Ltd (RPL) is marching on, Mukesh Ambani-promoted Reliance Industries Ltd's Petroleum arm will start its refinery production at Jamnagar from this September.

This is almost four months ahead of schedule, with the new plant, RPL Jamnagar will be the sixth largest refinery in the world.

RPL Jamnagar's officers newsroom announced that work was more than 82% completed.

Railing Less Bridge Claimed 2 children


The bridge over the Khodiyar check dam has past history many accidents, as this bridge has no railings.

Bhikubhai Natha Parmar lost both his children while his bike slips from a bridge, he and his wife survived, a man came driving by on a tractor, saw them, threw them a rope and pulled them out.

Deaths of Hitesh, 5, and Ashwin, 5 months, of the nearby Shaktinagar panchayat in Jamnagar , had bought the village stand still.

now govt. is blaming multiple authorities for not taking action when such incidents happened in past.
