Hoax Letter at Dwarka Temple Created Havoc

The hand-written letter was received Thursday morning at Dwarka Devasthan Samiti office.

The letter mentioned that a bomb has been planted at Jagat Mandir, Dwarka. this was a second letter threatening the Jagat Mandir, Dwarka.

Police checked the temple area and found nothing suspicious.

The seven-floor temple was built in the 16th century stands majestically on 72 pillars.
Lord Krishna's grandson Vajranabha is said to have built the original temple.

Jamnagar and Dwarka - Security Intensified

Following the serial blasts in Ahmedabad, security is tightened at Dwarka temple and all over Jamnagar district.

Jamnagar Superintendent of Police R V Jotangia and other senior officers are patrolling Jamnagar city, Jamnagar police departments have deployed additional forces at Dwarka temple. The famous Jagatmandir at Dwarka in Jamnagar is put under red alert.

In Dwarka two additional platons of SRP is deployed, leave of all Policeman are cancelled.

President Pratibha Patil - Visiting Dwarka

President Pratibha Patil's is visiting Dwarka and nearby places starting October 2.

Jamnagar Authorities are doing everything it takes to make this event success, a temporary helipad is also planned near the Dwarka temple.

13 rooms of Dwarka circuit house have new air-conditioners, Indian Army, Navy and Airforce Cheifs will welcome her on her arrival.


President Pratibha Patil's  will visit all the temples of Dwarka and after lunch, she will leave for Sasan Gir for a Lion Safari.

Police staff of around 1000 personnel are deployed in Dwarka, including Range IG police, SP's, DySPs etc.

35 New Camera For Dwarka Temple

In a bid to increase security, Dwarka temple will have 35 new camera tapping on potential trouble creators, this project is approved with cost and is awaiting nod from Archaeological authority.

There will be a control room upgrade to facilitate the operations too, currently only 5 camera and a small operation control room is used for security. The transmission will be broadcasted live to Jamnagar police chief and Gandhinagar home department, this camera will be used to monitor nearby areas also.

Dwarka Oceanarium

A 100 crore mega project  will get a kickoff by end of the year, Oceanarium- first in India will start its development in Dwarka.

This oceanarium will have a unique marine park and a glass tunnel for exotic marine life. Initial visitor estimate is approx at 5Lakh out of 15L who visits Dwarka.

Looks like the project design has its maths correct, idea is that famous Dwarkadhish or Jagannath temple is one of the four major pilgrim centers of Hindu, and this temple remains closed from noon to 5 pm. visitors will surely spend their time gainfully at the air conditioned oceanarium.

This project will soon be a reality as its a PPP project and will unlikely to have delays

car caught fire near Dwarka temple

A car that was parked in a no parking zone caught fire in wee hours
of monday, nearby people tried to stop the fire and later called fire
brigades.

The car was parked on no parking area near the jagat temple.

Jamnagar - YPO Meeting ends

The biggest power gathering event staged in Gujarat, concluded at the RPL township in Jamnagar yesterday.

The meeting was of Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), A giant dome (worth 6 crore) was erected inside the township for the event.


Al Gore , Nobel laureate and former US vice president could not make it because of time constraints.
 
Nandan Nilekani (CEO-Infosys) , K V Kamath (ICICI MD-CEO) , Sunil Mittal (Bharti-Chairman) Anand Mahindra (Mahindra & Mahindra), Adi Godrej(Godrej-CMD)  and Vikram S Mehta were there on the the invitation of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani,
 
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, made a presentation on India Unlimited on saturday evening.
 
Mukesh Ambani addressed the session before lunch on Sunday and many of the guests took a trip to the Dwarka temple later in the evening.

Krishnaben Khakhrawala in Dwarka

SONY TV's famous TV serial "Krishnaben Khakhrawala" is currently shooting in Dwarka, in collaboration with Gujarat Tourism and Vibrant Gujarat efforts,.
However the shooting was disrupted yesterday on 15th March when priests and local had protested the shooting as a junior artist had entered the temple with shoes, Krishnaben intervened and resolved the matter,

Guarding temple without salary

Jamnagar home guard is guarding most iconic temple in Gujarat. Dwarkas jagad mandir, without salary.

Since 4 month Dwarka posted home guard has not received salary.

Govt should look to address these development issues also.

Jamnagar Rain Updates

This week, rains started on time in Jamnagar district, Jamnagar city received around 1 inch of rainfall in first day, Dwarka town received 3inch, Khambhaliya 3 inch and Kalyanpur received 2 inch of rain.

Although first rain bought relief to Jamnagar citizens, lower areas suffered water logging right from day 1 of the rain, Low lying areas in Dwarka like ISCKON gate, Bhadrakali road, Jalaram Temple, Dwarkashish society are water logged. In Khambhalia, most of the low lying areas were under water on first day of the rain.

Perhaps it was a wakeup call for the administration to act.

Rain is lasting for last 72 hours and the death toll is risen to 10 person in Jamnagar, Normal life is completly out of order. Famous crematorium "Manekbai Sukhdham" is under 4-5 feet deep in water, as a result bodies are cremated at the nearby crematorium, which was exclusively set up by the kings for jains of Jamnagar city.

Manekbhai Sukhdham crematorium is known for its beautiful displays narrating stories from Hindu epics and has become a picnic place for the tourists. There are many crematoriums that have come up on the pattern of Manekbai Sukhdham in the state and elsewhere.

This district is one of the worst affected districts in the state.
Gandhvi village (Harshadmata temple) is totally cut off from the rest of the world.

This Temple is on the pilgrim route between Dwarka and Veraval and most of people on this route stop here.
