Vasuben Trivedi's new trouble
A normal meet and greet at a Rajgor Brahmin mass marriage in Jamnagar became latest pain point for Vasuben, BJP candidate for Gujarat Assembly Elections.
It is said that in her speech she asked for vote, denying this Vasuben maintained that the term "vote" was not used.
City congress leaders finally found something to hang on, this was reported to election commission and enquiries are being made.

BJP - Two Senior Councillor left BJP
Finally caste politics is showing colors in Jamnagar, in a major set back to BJP candidate and minister of Jamnagar (South) seat Vasuben Trivedi, former deputy mayor Suresh Alariya has quit the party and jas joined Congress candidate Jitu Lal.
He cited lack of space for common men in BJP.
Alariya, represents Kutchi Bhanushali community, was dissatisfied with functioning of Trivedi which led to his decision to campaign for the Congress candidate without joining the party, Kutchi Bhanushali is a strong community in Jamnagar.
Earlier BJP party Councillor Tulshi Sabhaya had left to join GPP (Keshubhai) and file his nomination against Trivedi. A Leuva Patel, Sabhaya has also won the local polls for four consecutive terms.
Alariya is also a sitting Councillor who has won last 4 polls consecutively.

Reliance Refinery in Worlds Top 5 Manufacturing units
Reliance Industries Ltd’s refinery at Jamnagar achieved another milestone, probably most significant till date.
Discovery Channel's selection of five of the world's largest factories includes Reliance Refinery of Jamnagar.
The other four complex are.
- NASA’s Kennedy Space Centere
- Posco’s steel plant
- Volkswagen’s car plant
- Kitt Green Foods plant
Reliance Jamnaar Refinery was number one on many parameters such building size, complex size, annual production (tonnage), initial investment and employee strength.
These units were shortlisted from around 70 lakh manufacturing units surveyed worldwide. Discovery channel then short-listed the world’s five largest organisations, later the channel contacted these organizations to verify the findings.
Later as a part of the program, Discovery Channel team visited Jamnagar and spent three days shooting entire Reliance Complex, this includes Reliance Central control room, Reliance jetty, main tank farms, OSBL, pipe racks and Channel captured stunning aerial views of the refinery complex.
Lalpur - Murder in Court
A 30-year-old man was stabbed to death in court compound at Lalpur.
THe victim was accused of killing a youth a year ago, the father of the youth stabbed the victim to death.
The victim, Sultan Osman Sama's was on trial for killing Yusuf Sama's son Hanif.
Yusuf did not tried to escape the scene, the killing took place in broad daylight in presence of lawyers and policemen.
Police told that he wanted to take revenge for his son's murder and he regretted that he could not stab him more.

One More Businessman dies of H1N1
A 45-year-old businessman dies to H1N1 virus in Jamnagar, he was resident of Mehulnagar, Jamnagar.
Bhagvanji Vataliya succumbed to death in a private hospital on Thursday, he ran high fever and cough.
Vataliya's two family members were found positive.
JMC is investigating the nearby areas for possible Swine Flu outbreak, as this is second death from Swine Flu in this month.

Water cut in Jamnagar (Twice in week now)
Lack of adequate rain in Jamnagar led Jamnagar Municipal Corporation (JMC) to announce water cuts in the city.
While JMC was supplying water every alternate day, now the distribution will be just twice a week. JMC sites that the water level are drying up fast and the Narmada water is the only source for supplying drinking water.
JMC complains the in-adequate and irregular supply of Narmada water is adding more problems.
A JMC official quoted that of total requirement of 220 million litres per day (MLD) , 110 MLD water is the Narmada water (50%), But JMC currently receives only 10 MLD (9%) of Narmada water daily in Jamnagar.
With rest of the dams fast drying up in district, things will be difficult in coming days.

Shravan and Ramzan Starting Today
Coincidently holy periods for both Hindu and Muslim are starting by today and will continue for a month.

Shravan, a holy month for Hindu is dedicated to lord of destruction, Shiva. This month devotees will keep fast, visit temples and will offer milk to Shivalingam.
Ramzan or Ramadan is a month of fast and self cleansing for Muslim friends, this month Muslims will keep fast known as "Roja", those who practice Roja will not eat a single grain in the whole day and will eat only when they see the moon. Muslims forbid themselves to participate or witness anything that is not good in these days, by these , one can cleanse not only body but soul also.
Wishes for both community.

Judiciary interfering in government - Law Minister
Congress in Gujarat are demanding immediate termination of current state Law minister Dilip Sanghani.
Congress claims that it has a video clip of Sanghani in which he alleged that the judiciary was interfering in business of the state government.
In the clip, Sanghani is heard saying, "It is business of the State Government to decide which officer to put where and how and what work he should be assigned. The Courts do not have the right to interfere in the matter. I am telling this as the Law Minister of the State."

Technip To craft new Crakcer for RIL
Reliance Industries in a press note announced that French design major Technip will be awarded the contract for technology supply and engineering work for the refinery off-gas cracker (ROGC) project at its Jamnagar facility.
The products from this unit will be utilised for the new downstream petrochemical plants being built at Jamnagar, the company added.
The Paris-based Technip has presence in 48 countries and draws over 90% of its revenue from oil and gas fields.
It specialises in deep subsea oil and gas field developments to the largest and most complex offshore and onshore infrastructure.

Lalpur NRI - Nativity Certificate Scandal
A Lalupr Lawyer and a London based NRI were named in a police complaint filed in Lalupr.
Details of the police record suggested that a forged nativity certificate was created by a Lalpur Lawyer Ashwin Joshi, this certificate is beneficial to get benefits in air-fare when any NRI wishes to come to India for visiting their elders.
It was revealed that the stamp and the letterhead used in this certificate was forged and not issued by Mamlatdar Office of Lalupr.
