Lalpur - Heavy Seismic Activities

Lalpur Town is experiencing very heavy seismic activities in last few days, some places in Jamnagar also felt the tremors in few days.

 

The first tremor was measured as 2.6 on Richter scale with second of scale 3.

 

Basic theory believes that these are caused by elevation of ground water table due to heavy rains in this region.

500 Brahmin trapped near Haridwar

Around 500 Gugli brahmins from dwarka are believed to be trapped near haridwar, recent rains and landslide near Uttarakhand have made things from difficult to worst.

Although there are no casulties reported yet but these travellers are afraid and are in dire need of food and life essentials

Ganesh Chaturthy was celebtrated at its best at Sapda, best known as Ganesh on hill near Jamnagar, mere 10-15 km from city yet in its nature abode, with a magnificient view and with Sapda dam nearby.

Siddhi Vinayak Temple @ Sapda is believed to be more then 600 year old, it is believed that ancient kings of Halar (Chavda Dynasty) build this temple and Later Jam Kings protected the temple.

 This year Ganesh Chaturthy was celebrated with mahaprasad,Maha-aarti and maha bhojan.

In the evening there was Santwani program with participants like Mayabhai Ahir and Kirtidan Gadhvi, around 50-60,000 audience participated in the program and enjoyed it.

Builder Shot dead in DKV College Campus

On Sunday - in broad daylight a contractor was killed in campus of D K V College,

A builder named Suresh Santoki was shot dead in DKV College campus, it is believed that this was due to some money related issues in partnership.

Last 2 days, heavy rains marooned entire Jamnagar district, and Jamnagar city received 5 inch more rain

And Khambhaliya completed century (100 inch) of rain.
