મૂંગું આ વાદળ...

ભેદ સૌ પાણીના ખોલે તો સારું;
મૂંગું આ વાદળ હવે બોલે તો સારું...!

મન તો થાય એક પત્થર ફેંકી આ મૂંગા બાવાને હું છંછેડી દઉં;
ફાટી જવાનીવળી લાગે છે બીક-વિચારને પાછો હું સંકેલી લઉં.
સણસણતાં ફેંકુ હું ટહુકાના તીર એ વાદળના ચીર હવે છોલે તો સારું...
મૂંગું આ વાદળ હવે બોલે તો સારું...!

માથા પર જામેલું કાળું ભમ્મર આ આભ મને લાગે છે આંબો રસદાર;
નિયત જ તારી ક્યાંક કાચી નથી કે કરવા છે કેરીના કાળા-બઝાર.
પાણી નું બીજું નામ છે જીવન-તું જીવનને રૂપિયે ના તોલે તો સારું..!
મૂંગું આ વાદળ હવે બોલે તો સારું...!

પવન જઇ કાનમાં શી કરે વાત- મૌન આમ ને આમ વિખરાય ના જાય ક્યાંક;
ધૂળની ડમરીએ કાઢી છે આંખ-વાત ભીની ને ભીની દબાય ના જાય ક્યાંક.
આજ ના વરસે તો દરિયાના સમ તને-નદીયું ના શ્રાપ હવે ના લે તો સારું..!
મૂંગું આ વાદળ હવે બોલે તો સારું...!

Indian Army Cycle Expedition

Indian army Cycling Team led by Lieutenant Sandeep started 943 km long cycling expedition from Jamnagar.


This expidition will cross 7 districts of Saurashtra region to promote and foster the spirit of adventure .




The expedition will cover almost 110 kms across Jamnagar, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Diu, Somnath, Dwarka and Porbandar districts.

Spokesman for IAF said that this excercise will boost joint air defence and counter insurgency operation.

six killed in car - Bus accident

Six persons, including a girl child, were killed and 11 others injured when a car, which was allegedly speeding, collided with a state transport bus near Kalavad town in Jamnagar.

The accident took place when the car in which seven persons were travelling failed to negotiate a curve and collided head-on with a bus of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) coming from opposite direction. 

The two vehicles collided near the approach road of Sarvaniya on Kalavad-Dhoraji state highway at around 3 pm.

Warmth of life

In Crown Heights, there was a Jewish man named Yankel, who owned a bakery. He survived the concentration camps, and always said, "You know why it is that I'm alive today?" 

"I was a kid, just a teenager at the time. We were on the train being taken to Auschwitz. Night came and it was deathly cold in that boxcar. The Germans would leave the cars on the side of the tracks overnight, sometimes for days on end without any food, and no blankets to keep us warm," he said. 

"Sitting next to me was this beloved elderly Jewish man from my hometown. He was shivering from head to toe, and looked terrible. So I wrapped my arms around him to warm him up. I rubbed his arms, his legs, his face, his neck. I begged him to hang on. All night long, I kept the man warm this way. 

"I was tired, and freezing cold myself. My fingers were numb, but I didn't stop rubbing heat into that old man's body. Hours and hours went by until finally, morning came and the sun began to shine. When there was some light in the boxcar, I looked around to see the other people. To my horror, all I could see were frozen bodies. All I could hear was deathly silence.

"Nobody else in that cabin made it through the night. They died from the cold. Only two people survived: the old man and me. The old man survived because somebody kept him warm...and I survived because I was warming someone else.

"Can I tell you the secret to survival in this world? *When you warm other people's hearts, you remain warm yourself. When you seek to support, encourage and inspire others, then you discover support, encouragement and inspiration in your own life as well*. That, my friends, is the secret to life."
