Diwali Shopping - City gearing up for celebration

As the festival of light is drawing nearer, Jamnagar is on shopping spree, ready made clothes and ornaments are on top of shopping list.

Jamnagar residents are feeling chill of winter since last 2-3 days, In Friday morning there was a cold wind blowing throughout the town and temperature was down to 22.

With after noon heat easing down, whole of Halar province has started experiencing winter in some sort.

Balachadi Sainik School - Golden Jubilee Celebration


Jamnagar’s Sainik school is celebrating its Golden Jubilee celebrations, a year long celebrations were kicked off yesterday in presence of Her Excellency Governor Kamla Devi.

Governor emphasised on focusing on science, technology and trade for the younger generation, she remembered the Indian freedom fighters and also recalled the contribution of Sainik School, This school alumni has around 200 members passed out from NDA.

Various programmes were organised by school, and school will be celebrating the same through out the year.

I personally had strong affection towards Sainik School Balachadi, having cleared the entrance exam of Sainik School Balachadi and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya; I choose to move to Navodaya Vidyalaya. To me Balachadi students will always be a symbol of energy, enthusiasm and courage.

Medical Hostel Girl Student Ragging - Suspension and Fine


Four Medical students were suspended and a Doctor was fined 25,000 By Anti Ragging Committee in Jamnagar .

The committee did note that this is a case of fun yet to avoid such incidents, these suspension and fine was required.

Few weeks back four medical girl students of M P Shah Medical College and a Doctor named Rupam Solanki picked up a fresher named Urmi VIjayKumar for a ragging prank, normal ragging are everyday incidents in medical and engineering colleges, however in this case victim lodged a case against Anti ragging committee by calling Delhi anti ragging helpline. Yes, there is such helpline in India, and its seems to be doing its work. Kapil Sibbal launched anti ragging helpline more then a year back, toll free number of Anti Ragging helpline is 1800-180-5522, and the Email is helpline@antiragging.net.

Four killed in road mishap

Four young friends were killed when their car jammed in a parked truck
near khambhaliya.

All four were resident of rajkot with age range of 25 to 30.
The impact of collision was such that car had to be cut down to pull
out mangled bodies.

tax officer succumbed to death

A tax officer from Jamnagar who attempted suicide 2 weeks back in his office at jamnagar, succumbed to death yesterday.

This 50 year old rajput named Jadeja alleged that he was harrassed by his three seniors, infact in his dying declaration to SP subhash trivedi, he mentioned that he is taking this extreme step because of the three seniors.
Police is now investing matter further.

Mukesh Ambani - New House from Diwali


Come Diwali, and Mukesh Ambani will move to his new House “Antilla” Economic Times reported.

Dubbed as the world's most expensive home “Antilla” is located on Altamount Road in downtown Mumbai, this house is built at $2 billion, spread across 400,000 square feet and has 3 helipads on the top.

For 27 floors, it had 570 feet height, there are three floors of garden, and first 6 levels are for car parking that can park 160 cars.
Economic Times also reported that there are no same floors; house has a ballroom with crystal chandeliers. With top 4 floors reserved for Ambani family and mother Kokilaben.
