Halar will be soacked in the Shiv Celebrations today, city is holding its 30th anniversary of annual Shiv Ratri float.
One of the most popular celebrations among the Hindus and espacially brahmins, Shiv Ratri is a celebration of Lord shiva, it is also said that shiv drank the poison extracted during samudra manthan on this very day.
In Jamnagar, Shivratri celebrations is done by Mahadev Mitra Mandal and Hindu Fesstival committee.
This years celebrations will have larger floats, and many more people joining the event.
6 large "Kavad" are specially made for this event, these Kavad will have Ghee, MIlk, Honey, Coconut water, clothes etc.
These items will be used in the "Abhishek puja" later in the evening, when Shivlinga will be worshipped at Bhid Bhanjan Mahadev temple in Jamnagar.
