Pursuing a MBA or PhD to earn millions, well there are some godly ways to achieve this quick.
A long lineage of priests of Dwarka’s Jagat Mandir temple are earning in crores each year.
The reins of worshiping Thakorji (Lord Krishna’s popular name in Dwarka) was handed over to current line of priests 10 generations back by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad (Vadodara) in 1934. During those days 94% of all donations made were for the priests, this share is now 83% and 17% is allocated for administration of the temple. Gujarat Govt. has paid approx 11 core to priests in last 3 years. Currently there are 3 main priests and other 33 priests, the total earnings when shared between all priests nets to 10 Lakh annually for each of them.
Few priests have different take on this numbers, one of the three main priest told “DivyaBhasker” that the amount is not that lucrative and they end up receiving just 10% of the said amount, resulting the family members to do other business to make living. He stated the current operating expense of the temple (10,000 Rs a day). One more reason being that the main priests gets only 60 day a year for the service and the payment will be according to the no. of days of service.
