Jamnagar brass parts industry have hit the red button, announcing drop in the industry output by almost 40%.
Jamnagar Factory Owner’s Association (JFOA) chairman announced this few days back to media, he blames slow domestic growth and global slowdown in Eurozone for this.
This means that brass parts units will now run for five or six hours a day, as against the average eight-to-nine hours.
This will adverly affect salary of the workers. Out of 5,000 brass-parts manufacturing units in Jamnagar, 83 % falls in the small scale industry, this industry employs more than 250,000 persons directly.
