Turtles Identified as Indian soft shelled turtles

Its took three days, to identify the species of turtles which died in Lakhota Lake at Jamnagar, these turtles were "Indian soft shelled turtles", protected under wildlife Act of 1972 and falls under schedule I endangered species.

Forest department is not rulling out any oxygen lacking issues in the lake, but as the lake falls under the jurisdiction of municipal corporation, JMC has banned all food vendors who were supplying food for the anumals in the lake, a relief that there are no more dead bodies of turtles are found.
