Now you can travel in air-conditioned Volvo buses from Ahmedabad to Jamnagar, in a GSRTC bus.
Yes, state run roadways corporation, GSRTC launched several air-conditioned Volvo buses including one service from Ahmedabad to Jamnagar, notabaly these service will run from Ahmedabad airport to respective destinations.
These new air-conditioned buses will have 45 push-back seats and each passenger will be given one Gujarati and one English newspaper and a magazine to read on the way. Drivers and the maintenance the buses is contracted to third party, the bus conductors will be provided by the GSRTC.
According to GSRTC officials, no private bus service picks up passengers from the airport.
Our fares will decrease from one stop to another as the bus gets closer its destination," said PD Patel, public relations officer of GSRTC. He also added that the corporation will adopt 'automatic driver testing system' to bring transparency into the recruitment and training of drivers.
An Ahmedabad to Rajkot one-way ticket will cost Rs320, to Jamnagar it may be around 450-480, but its worth as this is from Ahmedabad airport to Jamnagar.
This bus will start from Ahmedabad airport to Jamnagar at 6.30 am daily and will stop at Chotila, Rajkot and Dhrol besides few places in Ahmedabad.
