A community's thrive has pushed to keep a 46 year old tredition alive, for last 46 years, Jamnagar citizens have been flocking daily to visit Bala Hanuman Temple at Lakhota Lake without fail.

Shri Ram Chanting is continued since last 46 years non-stop in this temple, an action that bought name of this temple to Guiness book not once but twice.

History of this temple is dated back in 1961 when a sadhu, Prem Bikhuji Maharaj build this temple, he started the chanting of Ram-Dhun in 1964.

The chanting continues from that date to today, without any disrruption, the holy chant of 'Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram' is the identity of this temple and nearby area.

A strict schedule is maintained on a daily basis and it is notified well in advance for the volunteers, all the volunteers are commoners the are men, women and children of all ages.

Ironically this temple has no miracle attached, which makes this temple an absolute place for worship without any strings attached for expectations, unlike many other temples, here only Ram and Hanuman are worshiped.

The Trustee says that Chanting of Ram Dhun had never stopped, not even in devastating earthquake of 2001, and will never stop in the future.
